Welcome to Environmental Engineering Study Program, FALTL, Trisakti University

Global environmental problems faced by national development today are very diverse, ranging from domestic problems (availability of clean water, garbage, drainage, domestic wastewater), damage and reduction of environmental resources (atmospheric damage, damage to the ozone layer, damage and reduction of forest resources, reduced biodiversity, pollution and reduced water resources) to a decrease in the quality of life.

The new sustainable development agenda was created to address the demands of world leadership in tackling poverty, inequality and climate change in the form of concrete actions. The 2030 Agenda consists of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SGD) or Global Goals, which will guide policy and funding for the next 15 years (2030). The Sustainable Development Goals or in English known as Sustainable Development Goals abbreviated as SDGs are 17 goals with 169 measurable achievements and deadlines set by the United Nations as the world’s development agenda for the benefit of humans and planet earth.

Bachelor of Environmental Engineering is needed to play a role in overcoming the problems of drinking water (quality, quantity and continuity) and sanitation (especially wastewater and solid waste) in urban and rural settlements. Currently, household access in urban areas to piped drinking water is only 30.8% (2006) while the access of urban households to proper sanitation facilities is 70%. Waste management that does not pay attention to the environment (open dumping) in almost all cities in Indonesia, the increasing number of inundated areas in urban areas due to poor drainage systems, and the management of the former general mining environment are also challenges and opportunities for graduates of the Environmental Engineering Department. In addition, the urban environment also faces the problem of air pollution which requires a bachelor of Environmental Engineering.

The Environmental Engineering Study Program, FALTL Trisakti University aims to produce graduates who have technical knowledge and expertise in dealing with environmental problems in a systematic and integrated manner, based on mastery of knowledge in the fields of engineering, planning and environmental management to ensure that the development carried out does not damage the environment.

Independent Professional Profile Environmental Engineering Study Program are graduates who are able to develop themselves into designers, researchers, academics in the fields of environmental infrastructure, environmental management and K3 management.

Seeing that there are so many job opportunities in the field of Environmental Engineering, it is appropriate for the younger generation to take part in filling sustainable development by preparing themselves to continue their studies in the Department of Environmental Engineering.
