Environmental Engineering Study Program of Universitas Trisakti Jakarta and the Faecal Sludge Management Alliance (FSMA) show a high concern for the sustainability of water and sanitation in Indonesia. One of them is by preparing future generations who have concern for the sustainability of drinking water and sanitation.
With this shared vision, Environmental Engineering Study Program of Universitas Trisakti Jakarta and FSMA are also collaborated with the Indonesian Association of Sanitation/Environmental Engineering Experts (IATPI) to hold the 5th Trisakti Environmental Award with the theme of “Accelerating Change“. This event is part of Indonesia Water and Wastewater Expo & Forum (IWWEF) 2023 held by PERPAMSI and has succeeded in attracting the interest of students from all over Jabodetabek.
In this activity, Environmental Engineering Study Program of Universitas Trisakti Jakarta was collaborated with FSMA—an international Non-Government Organization (NGO) that focuses on sanitation issues, held several activities including educational exhibitions and high school level debate competitions related to drinking water and sanitation issues, innovation competitions, socialization about environmental engineering, and sharing about sanitation in Indonesia by FSMA.
The activity was held at the Bidakara Hotel on June 6-8, 2023 which was attended by 20 representatives from various high schools throughout Jabodetabek. Also present on this occasion were representatives from Perpamsi, Mr. Mohamad Rois Said, and FSMA Regional Director, Mr. Ir. Budi Dharmawan.
“It’s a good event! The correspondents are awesome.” said one of the participants who attended the event. Participants who attended were happy with this event and hoped that next year they could be involved in the same event.
Ericca Febriani said “The environment is the foundation that has a big influence on shaping a person’s personality.” Therefore, the event is expected to give birth to a young generation with character and become agents of changes in environmental improvement.
